We’re here to help
We know that going to church for the first time can feel awkward. We’ve all been there! Whether you’re new to church, have been a Christian for many years, or are looking for a fresh start, you are welcome here!
We have a saying here at CGC, “the first time you join us you are our guest, the second time you are family.”
It’s our desire that you experience love, freedom and purpose as you encounter God and new connections with people.
Who we are
- A place for you and your family to connect and build community. We are a church that loves to gather. We always have something for you and your family to be a part of, everything from House Parties, CGC Drive-In nights, Men’s groups, The Inspired Women events to young adult and youth services. We also meet for prayer, Bible studies, worship nights, and other fun events. To get more information on what is happening, visit our event page.
- A chance to make a difference. We each have gifts and skills that God will use to impact the lives around us. We offer many opportunities for you to join one of our teams. You will get to meet others, serve with an amazing group of people and see people’s lives changed for Christ.
- A way to grow. Our vision is YOU! We want to equip you with tools to grow and develop in your journey with God. No matter what stage of life you are in, if you’re looking to dive deeper into the Word of God, beyond what our Sunday services provide, we have more to offer.
- Xplore Nations Bible College is a place for you to discover who you are in Christ and what specifically God has for you to do. We have an XNBC campus that meets at Church at Glass Chapel every Tuesday evening. We made XNBC doable for anyone to attend and get a four-year degree.
What to expect
What are your services like?
Our services are fun, encouraging, and full of hope. We know that life can be cruel at times, and CGC is a place for you to be refreshed and encouraged and a place for you to build community with others just like you.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
You will be greeted with big smiles and hellos by our team. During your visit, you will hear about a place called The Hub. The Hub is located just inside our doors and is a one-stop-shop to get your questions answered about our church. Even if you don’t have any questions, stop by The Hub anyway before you leave because we have a gift for you.
What do I wear?
We do not have a dress code at Church at Glass Chapel. We want you to come in whatever is comfortable for you. Around here, you will mostly see jeans and casual attire.
Do you have kid’s services?
Yes! Courageous Kids ministry meets at 10AM – Upon your arrival, we will escort you to our secure kids area and help get your child checked in.
Do you have anything for students?
On Sundays, we invite students to join us in the main service. During the week on Wednesdays @ 7 PM Cultivate Youth meets on the Church at Glass Chapel campus in the building behind the chapel. Cultivate Youth is for students in 6th-12th grades.
What’s the vibe at CGC?
We always say the first time you are our guest and the second time you are family. We are family-oriented church that loves Jesus and dislikes religion. We appreciate good connections and conversations over a great cup of coffee or tea. We provide free coffee and donuts every Sunday at The Hub.
Take your next step –
join us for Coffee With The Crew
On the first Sunday of every month, we host Coffee With The Crew (CWC). This is an opportunity for our leadership team to meet YOU over a good cup of coffee or tea in a relaxed and casual setting. If you want to learn more about the church, or maybe you are curious what your next steps may be, we want to personally invite you to Coffee With The Crew. We meet at The Hub – just ask any of our greeters where to meet and they will point you in the right direction.
We look forward to seeing you there!
What we believe
THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.
THE SON
Jesus Christ was completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.
DIVINE HEALING: GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR BODY
Healing is for anyone who believes. God wants each of us to live healthy and whole lives so that we can live for Him and help others more effectively.
THE CHURCH: GOD’S DESIGN FOR COMMUNITY
The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ and allowing His glory to be manifest in the earth.
TRINITY
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.
MAN
Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.
THE HOLY SPIRIT: BEING FILLED
The Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. Every believer can be filled with the Holy Spirit by simply asking. We believe that the evidence of being filled with the Spirit is speaking in other tongues, and that this is a vital gift for every believer to operate in.
BAPTISM: GOD EMPOWERS US
Baptism is a symbolic act to publicly profess one’s salvation. God commands it, but our salvation does not rely upon it. We practice full-immersion baptism, symbolizing the process of death and resurrection that Jesus went through for us.
THE FATHER
God is great: He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
PRAYER
Prayer is our ability to communicate with God. Prayer is our relationship with God, and through prayer and the Word, development happens in us as believers. Through Jesus’ salvation, we no longer need an intercessor to go between God and us, we can address Him directly and hear His voice for ourselves.
ETERNITY: SOMEWHERE FOREVER
Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
SALVATION: GOD’S ONLY WAY
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
Hanging with us is your next step! CWC provides an opportunity for us to get to know one another over a cup of coffee.
The Hub is more than just an info center, it’s a place where you can connect with others and find out more about CGC.
